# Today Is Macaron Day

Macaron Day celebrates my favourite dessert. The sweet meringue goodness of macarons, in particular passionfruit, is the way to my heart (take note husband). My favourite macarons are from (http://macaroncafe.com/) in New York and I was very excited to get their little macaron book for Christmas.

Macaron is a French confection that was started by Parisian pastry chef Pierre Herme in association with the Relais Desserts in 1995 and Macaron Day is celebrated around the world, including Toronto and New York City, and now Vancouver.
